The story
behind VERTUS

To Semir, the amount of time needed to take a golf trolley out of a car trunk, assemble it and equip it with a bag before starting to play was too long of a distraction from the game itself. Having to go over this strenuous process before and after every golfing day led Semir to think of how this process could be simplified. To him, the answer to the issue became obvious: a complicated to assemble trolley to which a golf bag gets attached after assembly must be replaced by an integrated easy-to-operate unit.

The name

This mission is also reflected in the product name… The name VERTUS is derived from the Latin word “overt” meaning obvious – characterizing the obviousness of the need to create a golf bag and golf trolley integrated into a single functional solution.

The approach

The task, however simple it seemed was not a simple one at all. To solve it, a taskforce of product designers and innovations experts sought inspiration in nature.

Nature is a true champion in creating highly functional and effective solutions… Evolution in nature often leads to extremely simple yet very ingenuine and highly functional solutions to complex issues. In product design, such nature’s approach inspires us humans, too. The striking ingenuity of nature’s evolution inspired us to create VERTUS – a golf trolley and golf bag integrated into a single, simple-to-operate product.

Game set-up

With VERTUS you are always only couple of clicks away from starting your favorite game.

Storage set-up

Clicking the lock button on the rear swivel arms enables you to swiftly assemble VERTUS into playing position.

A simple lock of the folding handlebar adjusts its position to the height ideal for player.

Disassembly after the game is equally simple. Couple of clicks enable to fold the handlebar and rear wheel arms and transform VERTUS into a compact object that easily fits car trunk. This simplicity not only saves time, but also prevents the player from getting dirty by a complicated disassembly process.

Back at home a third position enables VERTUS to be stored in the corner of a garage or room with a minimized footprint.

Transport set-up

Materials

– The body, arms and handlebar are produced from high-quality carbon-fiber material, providing the product with structural stiffness and light weight

– Locking mechanisms are produced from high-grade stainless steel for durability

– Wheels are cnc-milled from fly-grade aluminum and equipped with rubber tires

– The bag is wter-resistant and is produced from innovative 3-ply sandwich material combining high-density foam with abrasion-resistant nylon fabric on all outer sides and soft combed material on inside to protect clubs from scratches.

Patents and
protection

To protect the unique design and functionality of VERTUS we have filed for patent and design protection in all of the countries of The Patent Cooperation Treaty.

The status of patent and design protection applications is currently pending in 153 countries such as in the European countries, United States of America, Australia, Canada, Japan, China, South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Brazil, New Zealand, Ukraine, countries of the OAPI (African Intellectual Property Organization), ARIPO (African Regional Intellectual Property Organization) and Eurasia.
